(From the Greene County Sheriff's Office)On October 17, 2023, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding inappropriate conduct between a female inmate and a Greene County Detention Officer.
After an investigation was conducted, the information was validated and lead to the arrest of 20-year-old Alejandro Lopez. Lopez had been employed with Sheriff’s Office since 2022.

Warrant #2331-CR03289 – (Bond $20,000)
{RSMo 566.145} Attempted Sexual Conduct– Misdemeanor
Warrant #2331-CR03416 – (Bond $20,000)
{RSMo 566.145} Attempted Sexual Conduct with Prisoner - Felony
Sheriff Jim Arnott personally arrested Lopez, later stating, “This office serves the citizens with a high standard of integrity, professionalism, and dedication. Instances like these will not be tolerated.”
*A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
