On Friday, December 7th, Springfield Police Officers will conduct a saturation patrol, looking for impaired drivers in the city.
Extra officers will be deployed to proactively seek out and apprehend drivers impaired on alcohol, drugs or both.
Impaired drivers are a danger to law-abiding motorists and pedestrians, and it is our Department’s goal to mitigate this danger to the best of our ability.
These officers will not be taken away from answering calls for service, rather, they will be working overtime on grant funds from the Missouri Department of Transportation.
