Come join the fun! Ozark Piecemakers Quilt Guild will hold its biennial quilt show, Celebrate Quilting! September 27th, 28th, and 29th in Springfield, MO. The show will once again be held in the spacious, air conditioned Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E*Plex. The Fairgrounds are conveniently located near Interstate 44 and Missouri Highway 13. Parking is free and on site concessions are available.
The East Hall will showcase hundreds of beautiful quilts. Judged quilts and non-judged quilts along with many special displays, including Quilts of Valor, will be on display to view and enjoy. We are very excited to host the Cherrywood Van Gogh Dutch Exhibit this year! This is a special traveling collection of 80 small quilts inspired by the work of Vincent Van Gogh.
The West Hall will be the site of our fabulous vendor mall. More than 80 vendors from all over the Midwest will be on hand to delight visitors with their goods and services. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to visit so many wonderful vendors all in one place!
In addition, the show will feature a Silent Auction of beautiful quilts and handmade items as well as the guild’s famous Unique Boutique, featuring one of a kind handmade items perfect for gift giving or to enjoy for yourself. Antique bed turnings will be held daily as well as free lectures on great topics by quilt personalities Shelly Burge and Dawn Heese. Tickets will be available for a chance to win the guild’s beautiful opportunity quilt, Patches of Blue. This quilt was recently on display at AQS Quilt Week in Paducah. Tickets will also be on sale for a chance to win a fabulous Singer Featherweight sewing machine including a special handmade extension table!
Show hours are Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm. Tickets are $10 at the door. Group rates are available as well. Advance tickets are now available at area locations.
