Willard woman killed, four others injured in two-vehicle collision

A Willard woman was killed and four others injured in a two-vehicle collision 2:55 p.m. Thursday on Farm Road 104, five miles southwest of Willard.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Dodge Caravan, driver undetermined, crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Chevrolet HHR driven by Jill D. Morrison, 41, Willard.

Willard was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, where Dr. Causa pronounced her dead at 6:23 p.m.

Two passengers in Morrison's vehicle, Claudia Morrison, 11, and Elijah Morrison, 11, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital.

The occupants of the other vehicle, Roscoe L. Choate, 46, Nevada, and Billie J. Howard, 38, Walnut Grove, were treated for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Choate and Howard were tested for alcohol. The investigation to determine which one was the driver continues.

The fatality was the 109th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
