A Springfield man and a Nixa woman were injured in a one-vehicle accident 2:50 p.m. Sunday on I-44, four miles west of Mt. Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Kia Sedona driven by Trisha M. Summer, 34, Nixa, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Summer was treated for moderate injuries and a passenger, Gary E. Ruble, 34, Springfield, for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
