Sparta man killed, Neosho couple injured in head-on crash on 60

A Sparta man was killed and two Neosho residents injured in a two-vehicle collision 4 a.m. Saturday on U. S. 60, one mile east of Marionville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Harley Davidson Streetglide Special driven by Steven-Anthony C. Camacho, 40, Sparta, crossed the center line and struck a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 driven by Robert V. Albrecht, 57, Neosho.

Christian County Coroner Mandi Armitage pronounced Camacho dead at the scene at 6:17 a.m.

Albrecht and a passenger in his vehicle, Deborah K. Albrecht, 56, Neosho, were treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

The fatality was the 59th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
