Springfield man drowns in Springfield Lake

A Springfield man drowned 5:01 p.m. Tuesday in Springfield Lake near the low head dam.

According to the Highway Patrol report, John E. Hance, 35, Springfield, was swimming, began to struggle, went under the water and did not resurface.
