Springfield police were dispatched to 2333 W. Springlane Street at 1:48 p.m. on Feb. 1 after a 911 caller stated a male subject had been shot. When officers arrived, they found a deceased male victim with apparent gunshot wounds inside the home. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
The victim was identified as Kenneth R. Clark, 38, of Springfield. Next of kin notifications have been made for the victim.
A suspect has not been identified at this time. Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-8477.
