Springfield police were dispatched to an injury crash involving a motorcyclist at Campbell and El Camino Alto at 3:40 p.m. on Jan. 20.
John McClure, 65, of Battlefield, was traveling southbound on Campbell on a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle when an unknown vehicle reportedly cut him off and continued on. McClure abruptly used his brakes, causing the motorcycle to slide and eject McClure. He was transported to a hospital. McClure succumbed to his injuries today.
This is the second fatality crash in Springfield in 2018.
