Willard man charged with felony DWI after crashing vehicle near Morrisville

A Willard man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle crash 8:30 p.m. Monday on MO 215 five miles west of Morrisville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by David G. Newman, 64, Willard, ran off the roadway and overturned.








Newman and a passenger, Heather M. Jenkins, 42, Willard, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

Newman was also cited for failing to maintain the right half of the roadway and for not having insurance.
