On Sept. 24, 2019, Springfield Police Officers assisted the United States Marshals Service and the Tulsa Police Department in attempting to apprehend two suspects who were wanted in Oklahoma for First Degree Felony Murder.
Information was received that the suspects were at 2628 West Chestnut Street. Springfield Police Officers assisted in searching the home but the suspects were not found.
After searching the West Chestnut address, officers received new information that the suspects were at 700 N. Hillcrest.
When officers arrived they apprehended one of the wanted suspects identified as Ruth Blair, a white female from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The second suspect, Nicholas Gibson, was not apprehended and was last seen in the area of Hillcrest and Chestnut Street.
Gibson is a white male, 5’6” tall and 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair, which is gray on the sides. Gibson also has a mustache and has shaved his goatee. Gibson recently injured his left leg and may walk with a limp. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black t-shirt.
Gibson is currently wanted for First Degree Felony Murder Warrant in Oklahoma and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees Gibson should not try to apprehend the him and should call 911 immediately.
