Shell Knob residents airlifted to Cox South following head-on collision caused by driver distracted by phone

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash 5:45 p.m. Thursday on Highway 112, four miles south of Cassville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Dazthil O. Sibrian, 31, Cave Springs, Arkansas, driving a 1997 Mitsubishi Montero, was manipulating the GPS on his phone when he crossed the center line and struck a 2007 Cadillac DTS driven by Michael A. Burke, 66, Shell Knob head on.








Burke and a passenger in his vehicle, Donna P. Burke, 65, Shell Knob, were airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.

Sibrian was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Arkansas.
