Division Street will close at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad crossing west of Kansas Expressway beginning 7 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 21 through Monday, Oct. 29 (weather permitting).
The work will facilitate the replacement of the existing railroad crossing and roadway surfaces. Drivers are advised to use an alternative route.
This project has been accelerated through a cost-share partnership between the City of Springfield and BNSF Railway Company.
The City portion will be funded through the 1/8-cent Transportation Sales Tax.
