A Pierce City teen was killed and two other people injured in a one-vehicle accident 2:21 p.m. today on MO 112, two miles east of Seligman.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Saturn L200 driven by Tyler J. Tuell, 22, Monett, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
A passenger, Scott P. Yates, 18, Pierce City, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedic Corey Cannon at 3:08 p.m.
Tuell was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
Another passenger, Michael D. Love, 23, Exeter, refused treatment for minor injuries.
The fatality was the 108th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
