A Branson man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 5:20 a.m. on U. S. 65, five miles north of Branson.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Phillip A. Ruiz, 22, Branson, ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned. Ruiz was ejected from the vehicle.
Taney County Deputy Coroner Kent Vanderpool pronounced Ruiz dead at the scene.
The fatality was the 113th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
