A Monett motorcyclist was airlifted to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries following a one-vehicle accident 5:30 p.m. today on Highway 174, seven miles east of Mount Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Carl Perryman, 46, Monett, was overtaking another vehicle when Perryman lost control. The motorcycle ran off the roadway and overturned.
