Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 11:30 a.m. today on Highway 413, one mile west of Springfield.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Ford Taurus driven by Oscar L. Medina, 76, Springfield, was struck by a 1999 Dodge Ram driven by Terrance L. Horrinek, 38, Aurora, while attempting to cross the roadway.
Medina and a passenger, Delores J. Medina, 69, Springfield, were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
