A Republic man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 2:05 p.m. today on Republic Road, west of Highway FF.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 GMC Sierra driven by John E. Babb, 54, Republic, ran off the right side of the road and struck the face of a bridge, reentered the roadway, ran off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail, then went into a field and a cluster of trees.
Babb was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
