Mount Vernon, Ash Grove residents including infant injured in crash on I-44

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 7:35 a.m. today on I-44, two miles east of Halltown.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Toyota RAV4 driven by Cindy J. Kruze, 65, Mount Vernon, failed to slow for traffic and struck a 2012 GMC Terrain driven by Tamara S. Ash, 47, Ash Grove, in the rear.


Kruze was treated for minor injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Ash was treated for moderate injuries and a passenger in her vehicle, Tanner J. Wallace, 0, Ash Grove, for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
