According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Sheila P. Meyer-Gray, 61, Hensley, was making a left turn and pulled into the path of a 2018 Volvo XC60 driven by Scott D. Huegerich, 51, St. Louis, which struck it in the driver's side.
Taney County Coronoer Bryan Koppitz pronounced Meyer-Gray dead at the scene at 1:45 p.m.
Huegerich and a passenger in his vehicle, Ethan C. Huegerich, 17, St. Louis, were treated for moderate and minor injuries, respectively at Cox Branson Hospital.
The fatality was the fifth in August and the 68th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
