Springfield woman injured in three-vehicle accident

A Springfield woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident 3:45 p.m. today on U. S. 160 at MO 413.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Nissan Altima driven by Sammantha R. Hoefgen, 24, Springfield, and a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Jacquelin M. Pena, 17, Springfield, were stopped in traffic when a 2002 Dodge Durango driven by Ryan L. Broyles, 33, Springfield, failed to stop, hitting the Pena vehicle in the rear and causing it to run into the Hoefgen vehicle.

Hoefgen was treated for minor injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
