Reed Academy math teacher Maida Russell has been named the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics Outstanding Educator - Middle School for 2016.
Bowerman Elementary School's Tammy Stine was selected as a Presidential Finalist for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching are the nation's highest honors for teachers of mathematics and science.
Both educators were recognized at the Jan. 24 Board of Education meeting
