Two Springfield teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident 4:40 p.m. today on MO 215, one mile east of Bona in Dade County.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Dodge Dakota driven by Ignacio Cardenas, 18, Springfield, traveled off the northside of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned, ejecting Cardenas, who was not wearing a seat belt.
Cardenas was taken by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries. A passenger, Marshall A. Scott, 18, Springfield, was treated for minor injuries at Cox.
