A 19-year-old Michigan woman drowned at Crabtree Cove on Stockton Lake sometime Tuesday.
According to the Highway Patrol report, rough water appears to have caused a 2023 Tahoma Kayak to capsize.
Melodie Roberts, 19, South Lyon, Michigan, was pronounced dead by Cedar County Coroner Joe Trussell 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The drowning was the first this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
