On April 15, 2019, at 11:31 a.m., Springfield Police Officers responded to a call for a motor vehicle accident at 1707 W. Elfindale.
At this time, it is believed that the driver suffered an apparent medical episode while backing out of her garage, striking several objects before eventually crossing Elfindale and colliding into a local business.
Life-saving measures were performed on the scene and the victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Next of kin notifications have been made and the victim has been identified as 84-year-old Elaine E. Gould of Springfield. No one else was injured in this incident.
