A Monett man died in a one-vehicle accident 4:13 p.m. Thursday on MO 97, two miles south of Yonkersville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1996 Honda Shadow motorcycle driven by Gregory S. Clein, 54, Monett, went off the right side of the roadway, struck a sign, then hit an embankment ejecting Clein.
Dr. Greg Kutter pronounced Clein dead at the scene at 4:30 p.m.
The fatality was the 24th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
