(From the Springfield Police Department)Officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 800 block of S. Missouri on Saturday afternoon.
Shell casings were located and during the investigation, officers identified Kyle Ready, 19, as the suspect who fled the scene after shots were fired.
Ready’s vehicle was located a short time later in another location. Ready attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody by officers after a short pursuit.
Ready, who was in possession of a loaded firearm, was arrested and booked into the Greene County Jail for resisting arrest and unlawful use of a weapon.
