According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2020 Ford Transit driven by Autumn R. Horton, 29, Duenweg, was attempting to make a left turn when a 2008 Jeep Cherokee driven by Phillip A. Fonsworth McCorbey, 39, Pea Ridge, attempted to pass the Horton vehicle and was hit.
The McCorbey vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned.
A passenger in the McCorbey vehicle, Kimberly A. Rogers, 36, Pea Ridge, was pronounced dead at Mercy Springfield at 2 p.m.
McCorbey was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy.
The fatality was the 132nd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
