A Rockville woman was killed and two El Dorado Springs injured in a two-vehicle accident 2:35 p.m. today on Route H five miles north of El Dorado Springs.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Chevrolet 2500 driven by a 16-year-old El Dorado Springs boy and a 2014 Ford Flex driven by Remi L. Johnson, 23, Rockville, struck near the center of the roadway.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Clair County Coroner Kevin Goth.
The 16-year-old boy and a passenger in his vehicle, also a 16-year-old El Dorado Springs boy, were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Springfield.
The fatality was the 131st this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
