According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 International driven by Cody L. Wicker, 36, Crane, and a 2018 Ford F-250 driven by William F. Walton, 29, Buffalo, were stopped in traffic to make a left turn when the Walton vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2010 Ford F-150 driven by Trinket D. Foster, 55, Crane.
Foster was taken to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
A passenger in the Foster vehicle, Christopher R. Vincent, 31, Aurora, and Walton were treated for moderate and minor injuries, respectively, at Cox.
