Springfield man charged with felony DWI following one-vehicle accident

A Springfield man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle crash on Farm Road 142 at Farm Road 129 at the Springfield city limits.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 Ford Ranger PK driven by Richard L. Hill, 45, Springfield, ran off the roadway and struck a fence and a tree.

Hill, who was treated for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, was also charged with careless and imprudent driving.
