Second chance provided for Springfieldians to offer input on trash, recycling

(From the City of Springfield)

The City of Springfield will host a second opportunity for the public to learn about the ongoing Trash and Recycling Collection Efficiency Study and provide feedback at an informational open house 5:30 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Library Station Santa Fe Room (2535 N. Kansas Expressway).

Residents will have the opportunity to learn about the study, speak with solid waste experts and provide feedback through a public input survey. There will be no formal presentation.

For those unable to attend, the public input survey is available online at springfieldmo.gov/trashstudy. The deadline to participate in this survey is 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13.

Information from this survey will be compiled as part of the public input process for the Trash and Recycling Collection Study. Overall findings and recommendations from this study will be presented to City Council in early 2017.
