On June 16, 2020, at 9:12 p.m., Springfield Police received a call for a check the well being. The caller wanted officers to check the well being of a female at 1532 N. Golden.
When officers entered the home they discovered two deceased individuals inside. Both individuals appeared to have injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
The deceased individuals were identified as Krista N. McKinnon, a 24-year-old female from Springfield, and Andre D. McKinnon, a 27-year-old male also from Springfield.
Next-of-kin notifications have been made for both subjects. At this time, investigators do not believe there is a suspect at large and feel there is no danger to the community.
Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477)
