Cassville woman charged with DWI after head-on collision injures Kansas residents

A Cassville woman was cited for felony driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle collision 3:30 p.m. Sunday on MO 112, just south of Cassville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by Rachel E. Poe, 38, Cassville, made a southbound turn out of a private drive directly into the path of a 2016 Ford Taurus driven by Abigail L. Steiner, 22, Winfield, Kansas, resulting in a head-on collision.







Steiner and a passenger, Rebecca L. Steiner, 63, Winfield, were treated for minor and serious injuries, respectively, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

In addition to DWI, Poe was arrested for felony driving while revoked, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and for not wearing a seat belt, according to the Highway Patrol.
