A Willard teen was killed and two people injured in a 3-vehicle accident 4:05 p.m. Thursday on MO 266 one mile west of Springfield.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Ford Explorer driven by Harold N. Budnovich, 68, Springfield, pulled into the path of a 2018 Thomas Built school bus driven by Katherine G. Lopez, 52, Willard.
The collision caused the bus to hit a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 driven by a 17-year-old Willard girl.
Medical examiner Aubriana Duvall pronounced the girl dead at the scene.
Budnovich was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Springfield.
Lopez was treated for minor injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
The fatality was the 138th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
