Rochelle Boothe, 41, from Ozark, was driving a black 2014 BMW 435-I southbound on Fremont at Montclair.
Kenneth Kerr, 90, from Springfield, was turning west onto Montclair from northbound Fremont in a blue 2016 Nissan Frontier. Both vehicles entered the intersection and collided.
At the time of the crash, Kerr was transported to a medical facility. On Dec. 13, the Springfield Police Department received notification from the medical examiner that Kerr died on Dec. 9 from injuries sustained in the crash. Kerr’s family has been notified.
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
This was Springfield’s 27th fatal motor vehicle crash in 2023.
