A Texas man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 12:30 p.m. Friday on MO 76 four miles west of Exeter.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Allen B. Lamar, 66, Wichita Falls, Texas, driving a 2023 Kia Telluride, suffered a medical incident, left the road, returned to the road, left the road again and struck an embankment.
Barry County Coroner Allen Swearingen pronounced Lamar dead at the scene.
A passenger, Jean M. Lamar, 65, Wichita Falls, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Springfield.
The fatality was the 144th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
