Three suspects held in Dade County Jail following murder of woman in western Lawrence County, second woman in critical condition

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office is currently working a homicide investigation in the western part of of the county.

Deputies were responding to a shots fired call at approximately 10:00 p.m. Sunday night. When deputies arrived they located a female subject who had been shot multiple times but was still conscious.

The female was airlifted to a local hospital where she was in critical condition. 








Prior to her being transported, the female advised her friend had also been shot and killed at another location in the county. Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office, Dade County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a search of the area and did find a deceased female who had suffered apparent gun shot wounds.

It is believed that the suspects stole one of the victims vehicles which was recovered partially burned in Dade County by the Dade County Sheriff's Office. Three suspects were taken into custody in by the Dade County Sheriff's Office in relation to this incident.

Several subjects have been taken into custody in connection with this investigation. No formal charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is still continuing and updates will be released as they become available.

The victims and suspects are believed to have all known each other and it is believed that there is no immediate threat to the public.
