Shell Knob woman killed, Aurora woman airlifted to Mercy following collision on 39

One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle collision 3:05 p.m. Saturday on MO 39, three miles north of Jenkins.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2012 Nissan Sentra driven by Lori R. Cupp, 42, Shell Knob, crossed the center line and a struck a 2014 Ford Edge driven by Tracy L. Periman, 51, Aurora.

Cupp was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:35 p.m. by the Barry County Coroner.





Periman was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, to be treated for serious injuries.

The fatality was the 67th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
