Four Springfield residents injured in accident at intersection of 96 and 97

Four Springfield residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident 12:50 a.m. today at the intersection of Highways 96 and 97, six miles west of Miller.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Subaru BRZ driven by Edward T. Hughes, 46, St. Louis, pulled into the path of a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Douglas O. Derry, 34, Springfield, causing the Derry vehicle to overturn.







Derry and two passengers, a 13-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy were treated for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

Another passenger, Amanda R. Cartwright, 34, Springfield, was treated for minor injuries at Cox South.
