City of Springfield Public Works will install the Park Central Square Christmas tree beginning at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8.
The 25-foot-tall blue spruce was donated by retired Springfield Fire Battalion Chief Bill Gustafson and will be transported Wednesday from his property in Nixa.
The tree will be decked out and ceremoniously lighted at the Downtown Tree Lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 on Park Central Square.
