Man, woman arrested for Saturday drive-by shooting death of Springfield man

On October 9th 2017, Greene County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 24-year-old male and female both from Springfield in connection with the shooting death of 28-year-old Tyler Rambo from Springfield. 

Charges have been presented to the Greene County Prosecutors Office for review.
Sheriff Arnott states “We have worked straight through to get these suspects in custody. We hope this brings some resolution to the victim’s family and our community that these violent suspects are in jail”. 

Earlier news releases

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office SWAT along with Greene County Detectives executed a search warrant in the 300 block of east Montclair, Springfield, MO. This search warrant is regarding the death investigation that took place on October 7, 2017 in Greene County. 

During the investigation we discovered credible information that may be connected with unknown explosives and possible explosive devices both inside an apartment and in vehicles located in the parking area. 

The Springfield Bomb Squad has been requested to assist in the investigation. Based on the information a large area has been secured until it can be deemed safe. The Springfield Police assisted the Sheriff’s Office with the evacuation and securing the area while the investigation continues.
At 11:30 hours the Springfield Fire Marshals released the scene and deemed the area safe for residence to return home. 

Sheriff Arnott states “We have made great progress in 24 hours towards solving this case. We appreciate the assistance of our partners with Springfield Police, Springfield Fire, Greene County Arson Task Force and the BATFE”

Victim identified in Death Investigation / Drive by shooting
The victim of Saturday afternoons shooting was identified as, 28-year-old, Tyler Rambo. An autopsy will be conducted at a later time to determine the cause of death. Greene County Detectives are continuing to follow up on leads.

At approximately 1520 hours, on October 7, 2017, Greene County Sheriffs Deputies responded to Dayton Mobile Home Park in the 3400 block of south Scenic regarding a drive by shooting. When deputies arrived, they located a deceased individual at the residence. 

Deputies are looking for a green Buick Lesabre occupied by a white female and a bald male passenger as persons of interest.
