Two Clever residents were killed in a one-vehicle accident 6:30 a.m. Sunday on Route N, three miles east of Clever.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Honda Civic driven by Jeffrey D. Ennis, 53, Clever, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
Ennis and a passenger, Erica A. Myers, 41, Clever, were pronounced dead on the scene by Christian County Coroner Mandy Armintage at 7:46 a.m.
The fatalities were the 82nd and 83rd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
