Kirbyville man seriously injured crashing into parked pickup cited for DWI

A Kirbyville man was charged with driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle collision 1:14 a.m. today on MO 76, two miles west of Forsyth.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Marvin Bell, 58, Kirbyville, ran off the roadway and struck a parked 2012 Chevrolet pickup.

Bell, who was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, was also cited for failing to drive on the right half of the roadway and for not wearing a seat belt.
