On July 12, 2019 at approximately 7:26 p.m., Springfield Police Officers were dispatched to 1926 N. Colgate after a 911 caller said a person had been shot at the location.
When officers arrived, they found one male victim inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. The male victim was transported by paramedics to Mercy Hospital but later died from his injuries.
The victim was identified as Jordan L. Moore, an 18-year-old male from Springfield. Next of kin notifications have been made for the victim. A suspect has not been identified at this time.
Detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone who has information about this incident to contact the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810 or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477).
