Primrose Street between South Avenue, Kimbrough Avenue to be closed

Primrose Street between South Avenue and Kimbrough Avenue will close from 10 p.m. Saturday, July 13 through 6 a.m. Monday, July 15.

This closure is for utility and storm water work for the widening of Primrose Street.

The project will widen Primrose Street to five lanes between South Avenue and Kimbrough Avenue and includes the addition of bike lanes, sidewalks, storm sewer, curb and gutter, gas and water renewals, traffic signal upgrades at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Primrose Street, and a sewer extension.

The project is funded by the 1/4-cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax.
