The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the following areas, in southeast Kansas, Cherokee and Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright. * Until 7 AM CDT Monday * Pockets of intense rainfall may produce flash flooding in areas of extreme southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks overnight. If slow moving or training thunderstorms occur, then up to four inches of rain will be possible. Most locations will experience less than an inch, as the intense heavy rain will occur in localized areas.
