Springfield man arrested for murder in connection with Ozark Inn shooting

On March 2, 2019, at 12:13 a.m., Springfield Police Officers were dispatched to 2601 N. Glenstone, the Ozark Inn, regarding a 911 caller, who wanted the wellbeing of a subject checked.

 When officers arrived, they found a deceased male outside of a hotel room with an apparent gunshot wound. Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Section began a homicide investigation and processed the scene for evidence.

The victim was identified as Calvin R. Allen, a 29-year-old male from Springfield. Next of kin notifications have been made for the victim.








The suspect was identified as Seth Gomez, a 19-year-old male from Springfield. On the evening of Saturday, March 2, 2019, Gomez was arrested by Springfield Police Officers in Springfield. The Greene County Prosecutors Office filed charges of second-degree murder. Gomez is currently being held in the Greene County Jail with a bond of $350,000.00.
