An Omaha, Arkansas man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 6:15 p.m. Saturday on MO 39, six-tenths of a mile north of Mount Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, 2001 Ford Explorer driven by Robert Whitten, 54, Omaha, Arkansas, edged the roadway, overcorrected, and overturned before leaving the roadway and landing on its top.
Whitten was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, to be treated for serious injuries.
