State expected to revoke license of former Parkview teacher who sent naked selfie, offered oral sex to student

The Missouri State Board of Education will act during its 8:30 a.m. meeting Tuesday on a recommendation to revoke the license of a former Parkview High School teacher who sent a naked selfie to a student and offered to perform an oral sex act on the student.

Board documents indicate that Jesse Lee Tucker, who taught high school English and was the sponsor of the school's Gay Straight Alliance, did not show for his disciplinary hearing on September 20 and did not provide any evidence on his behalf.

Springfield Public Schools placed Tucker on administrative leave after an e-mail complaint was sent to Superintendent John Jungmann by the parent of a student from another district, according to the board documents.

An affidavit from a student from another district identified as "D. G." indicated that Tucker met him at a Gay Straight Alliance Network event November 21, 2015, in Springfield and added him on SnapChat.

Tucker messaged the student that if the student's parents had not picked him up after the meeting, he would have "given you a blowjob." Tucker then sent the student a full frontal naked selfie of himself.

The student told an adviser at the school who suggested that he tell his parents, who reported Tucker to the police and to the Springfield School District.

During an interview with the district's HR investigator, Tucker acknowledged that he had sent the message and the photo to the teen. Tucker resigned December 20, 2015.

Four days before that, while under suspension, Tucker added a 16-year-old Parkview female student, S. G., on SnapChat. On the day he resigned, he sent the girl a photo of his penis.

Greene County Circuit Court documents indicate Tucker is awaiting trial on misdemeanor charges of furnishing pornographic material to minors and sexual misconduct second degree.
